I was recently thankful to have seen some easier graphics to enter in order to post comments here, such as "fig", and "cas" and "lucmo". Even "sparkleberry" would put me in a decent frame of mind, although I have no earthly idea what that is and I am simply too lazy to look it up.
When I first started here actively back in August, I wrote a somewhat-related post called What DOES the graphic say? which seemed to spark some interest in fellow members here at AR. It was my second post to garner lots of comments. In case you are curious, the first one was Worst photo contest, which was a short post I wrote about bad MLS photos (not a real contest, just a fun post), and it ended up connecting me with some terrific friends here.
But I digress (as usual) –
At any rate, I was silently praising the death of the mythical GRUMIXAMEIRA, which is, in my opinion, the most difficult graphic to enter properly, along with "love-in-a-mist" (what the…?). Every time I see it and begin to type the letters, my hand automatically wants to write one of these instead:
Here's the problem and the warning for others:
All I did was THINK about "grumixameira" last night, and it appeared…immediately! Yes, I somehow managed to summon this beast from its slumber after not having seen it for months, merely with my thoughts.
Of course, I understand that telling you not to think about grumixameira is like telling you not to think about a pink elephant (i.e. I am drawing attention to the problem).
I fear the grumixameira, and the power that it holds over us all. I would like to publicly apologize for bringing this terror back to haunt us.
