It SNOWED in Austin last night!

I realize that many of you reading this will not find the idea of snow appealing or noteworthy, but my two older children have only seen snow ONCE in their lives.  Keep in mind that my son will soon turn 10 years old.

I have never seen snow this early in the season before.  I think every other time that it has snowed (at least in my memory) it was in January or February.  The last snow which accumulated here was on Valentine’s Day about five years ago.

Unfortunately, it didn’t really “stick” very much at all, but it was beautiful to watch it coming down for about an hour or so last night.  I got a picture as proof (see below).  Actually, I got several, but since it was dark, this is as good as any of them:

I was sincerely hoping for some accumulation, but it didn’t happen this time.  Maybe we’ll have a white Christmas for the first time in my life?  As a native Texan, nothing is more elusive or interesting that snow on Christmas day.

Thanks for reading!  Have a great week!
