I have been tracking the progress of the new Stone Hill Town Center over the past few months. Since it sits about a mile and a half from our home, I am very much looking forward to the opening. Home Depot has been open since last May, standing as the lone store until Verizon Wireless and Mattress Firm opened last month.
I read that Best Buy’s grand opening will be February 27th, and SuperTarget will open nine days later, on March 8th. Bealls is also expected to open sometime in March.
Other springtime openings at Stone Hill include:
- Quizno’s Sub Shop
- Sport Clips
- Rack Room Shoes
- Maurices women’s apparel
By mid-summer, Dick’s Sporting Goods and PETCO should be open (probably July). In the fall, Office Depot will debut there.
Unfortunately, some of the planned tenants are no longer intending to participate, primarily because of nationwide cutbacks. Chili’s restaurant will not open at Stone Hill after all (which is a disappointment to the Crouch family), nor will 24 Hour Fitness or the planned Cinemark theater. Apparently, the developers are still hoping to have both a gym and a theater, but it may be different companies that end up opening in this particular center.
